October 2026 Meeting

On October 20, 2026, we were pleased to welcome Jack Phillips, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the The Smith Mountain Lake Center, as our guest speaker. Jack gave an informative presentation on the Center's new multi-use space, a place in the heart of Smith Mountain Lake where people of all ages can connect, learn, and be inspired. To make this vision a reality, the SML Center plans to purchase the Westlake Cinema building and turn it into a lively regional venue. It will offer education, entertainment (including continued film showings), events, and opportunities for community connection, all open to everyone in the region. We encourage you to support the SML Center as it works to make this dream a reality.
