October 2026 Meeting & Upcoming 2026-2027 Schedule
Our next meeting will be held at 11 AM on October, 2026, at Hot Shots Bar and Grill located at 67 Village View Lane, Moneta, VA 24121. After a brief business meeting, a short program will be presented and lunch will be served.
Our program this month will be an update on the SML Center
The mission and vision of the SML Center is:
We envision The Smith Mountain Lake Center as a vibrant, purpose-driven venue where members of our community can come together to learn, create, perform, celebrate and grow. Located in the heart of Westlake, this revitalized facility will spark connection, fuel opportunity and serve as a hub for education, entertainment, events and community life.
The SML Center project guided by an 11-member boar of directors committed to finally realizing this vision by purchasing an transforming the Westlake Cinema building into a vibrant venue where education, entertainment (including continued film showings) event and community connection will be accessible to the entire region.
